A delegation of Ethiopian regional and federal city leaders led by the Deputy Chairman of the Prosperity Party (Biltsigina) said the damage caused by the war in Tigray in the past three years is devastating.
A delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Prosperity Party, Adem Farah, visited the Sheba Laser and Semayata Marble Industrial Factories destroyed by the war. The delegation expressed their regret over the heavy damage caused to Tigray by the war and said they would help the reconstruction of Tigray more than ever. “The infrastructure of Tigray, which was destroyed due to the war, can be rebuilt in a shorter period of time if the people of Ethiopia cooperate,” he said.
Adem Farah said that the Ethiopian government will work together with the interim government of Tigray to rebuild Tigray. “Differences should be resolved through dialogue,” Farah said, adding that the peace agreement between the TPLF and the Ethiopian government should be taken as an example.
The delegation included the Chief Ministers and Mayors of Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa. The leadership said Ethiopia has been going through war in various areas for various reasons in the past three years. He promised to do everything he can to rebuild Tigray.
Accordingly, most of the regional state leaders announced that they have allocated what they can to reconstruct Tigray. Oromia Region has allocated over one billion birr, Addis Ababa Administration over 500 million birr, Sidama Region 20 million birr , Gambella Region 10 million birr, Dire Dawa 10 million birr; Benishangul Gumuz donated 15 million birr, Southwest Ethiopia over 10 million birr, Southern Nations and Nationalities 50 million birr, Somalia over 30 million birr and Harare over 10 million birr in cash and in kind. Prosperity Party has also donated 20 million birr.

However, Tigrayans are still questioning the steps that are being taken by the Ethiopian officials. This is because of the facts on the ground are not matching with what the politicians are doing. The internally displaced Tegaru are still in IDP centers. The Amhara regional state is still striving to change the demography of Western Tigray. Many buses are transporting people from different corners of the Amhara region to Western Tigray. And, the remaining Tigrayans from Western Tigray are still being displaced by the Amhara forces. Further, the annual budget allocated for Tigray, including the budgets from the last 3 years, are still not released. Foreign forces (Eritreans) are still in Tigray. Things are still as they were, apart from the measures of silencing the guns!
