“Despite the peace agreement, the lack of supply of medicine has not been solved,” said the doctors of Ayder Referral Hospital, the largest in Tigray, according to Addis Standard.
According to the report, Dr. Kibrom G/Salase, the CEO of the hospital, said that the doctors of Ayder Referral Hospital are waiting for the support of life-saving medical supplies. The doctor mentioned that aid organizations such as the Red Cross and the International Food Program are providing very little medical aid and said that the hospital should be supported by the federal government as it is a government institution.
Even after the peace agreement, the shortage of medicine in Tigray’s biggest hospital – Ayder referral hospital, has not been solved. The doctors and the whole staff of the hospital requested that laboratory chemical materials be supplied to as soon as possible.
