It is said that the delegation headed to Mekelle to survey the implementation process of the peace agreement and to ensure that the main issues included in the agreement are carried out as planned.
The delegation is the first high-ranking delegation of the Federal Government to travel to Mekelle after two years of genocidal war in Tigray. Not few people have so far believed that this visit can be as an indication that the agreement is in good shape. However, the fact that the members of the delegation were among those who led the genocidal war imposed on the people of Tigray is still creating confusion on what the main purpose of the visit could be. Many are suspecting the visit to possibly have a secret agenda behind it.
Members of the National Consultation and Reconciliation Commission are also included in the delegation today. Considering how Anti-Tigray this commission was since its inaugural period, their presence in the delegation has created suspicions and confusion on what the purpose of the delegation could be in reality.
