This is a truth that the world needs to know. These two world champions and gold medal winners are in a country where their families cannot reach them, and they cannot reach their families too. They are proud Tigrayans. And, Tigray is under siege. The siege is being done on purpose so that Tigrayans don’t get anything for their very survival. There is no water, no food, no medicine, no phone, and no internet in Tigray. These athletes do not know if their families exist or not, let alone share their happiness with their families.
